ExmanPastor Jon Exman Jon was appointed to Bethany and he and his family came to Celina in July 2010. Jon and his wife Lesa have 4 children…Alexandria, Bailey, Samantha and Jaxon. Jon has spent almost 20 years in ministry and most of it has been as a youth minister.

Jon did his undergrad at Mount Vernon Nazarene University, majoring in Communications. He completed his Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1998. He is an ordained elder and also serves as a mentor in the Candidacy process. He grew up along the Ohio River and consequently fell in love with the University of Kentucky Wildcats (living 4 years in Wilmore, KY just added fuel to the fire!) He also loves coaching basketball and soccer. Jon has a passion for cell groups…go ahead and ask him about them. He loves being here in Celina and has this to say, “The people here at Bethany are what it’s all about…I am excited to see the plan God has for us.”

SheffieldDiane Sheffield serves as the Lay Pastor for Administration at Bethany.Diane moved to Celina with her husband, Bob, and their daughter Tesia in 1997 and found Celina to be a wonderful place to raise a family.

Diane’s training for office management came through her education at Lorain City Vocational School where she learned the skills needed to work alongside others and to support staff.  She sees her position at Bethany not as a job but as a ministry desiring to bring the presence of the Holy Spirit to others through her skills and talents. The Walk to Emmaus was her first strong encounter with a loving God and through this weekend she discovered how much she desired God’s presence in her life. A strong prayer life is the only way to know the God who wants us in His life – James 5:16: “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much!”  Her prayer is that others will find the joy that is only found in the grace of Jesus who was born to die so His death could bring us life!
